Sharing Tips Thursday - Alchemy

Saltar al español

Not too long ago I was reading one of the million blogs I've subscribed to, and I stumbled upon a program that caught my attention, it's Alchemy, and it's used to generates abstract shapes.

It's a very fun little program that counts with different tools to draw and end up with very interesting results, you can draw a mirror image, hide the result while you're drawing, draw according to the sound picked up by the microphone, and many other things. All with the idea of creating shapes and stains that stimulate the creativity of the user.

If you work as a concept artist or if you're just without a clear idea of how to start your works, try this program, it'll make your mind working.

The program is based on Java, so you'll need to have it installed to use it, once that's done you can download Alchemy from it's official website at Al.chemy.org.

Skip the spanish blurb for one of my results, tell me what you see!

I see a warrior and his pet about to face off with a giant zombie dragon! Under the canopy of a rain forest, of course. And Stitch from Lilo and Stitch is riding on the zombie dragon's head.

Yeah the warrior facing the giant zombie / monster was pretty clear to me, so I guess it's not all that subjective, I don't see Stitch though xD
